In case a website is compromised, the attacker will not be able to see or access any other content outside the site folder, so all the rest of the websites inside the account will be protected and will remain intact. Using the JailHost option cannot be a substitute for doing routine script updates or using difficult passwords, but it will minimize the damage to your websites significantly, so you'll need to fix only one Internet site rather than all of them.

JailHost in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host your sites inside a shared website hosting account from our firm, you could protect them by using the JailHost option with just a few clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. This feature is accessible with all plans and can be activated for any folder because the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have different folders, so files for many different sites don't get mixed up as it usually happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default because you might use scripts which need access to folders outside the main website folder and this option could interfere with their correct operation, but shielding all of the other folders is simple and easy. If a protected site gets hacked for whatever reason, we can restore it without delay as we will have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups in Hepsia.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting

JailHost comes with all our semi-dedicated hosting plans and you can activate it with several clicks. It is not turned on by default as we do not want to prevent some scripts that require to gain access to multiple folders in the account from working properly. You will be able to activate JailHost for all other websites that you have from the Hepsia Control Panel and this can be done easily even when you lack previous experience. What allows us to offer JailHost is the way in which Hepsia takes care of multiple domains - they all have separate folders that can be "locked". In contrast, other widespread Control Panels feature add-on domains and their content is kept in the main domain folder, so if a single website is hacked, the whole account is hacked, that isn't the case with Hepsia. In the event that a site is damaged regardless of your efforts, we will be able to recover it the way it was very quickly as we'll have a couple of daily backups of the entire account.
